“Dear Future Generations: Sorry”is a slam poem by Prince EA talking to the future generation. He talks about several of the earth’s problems, like water shortage, short of tree, and the simple lack of compassion for others. Speaking very strongly about how a majority of humanity doesn’t even care about “tomorrow” (to be taken in the grand scheme) but rather only focuses in on the “today” and how money is the only thing that motivates people. He uses some very strong words to show his argument, such as [we take] “Profit above People”, “Greed above Need”, “Rule of Gold over the Golden Rule” (to be inferred instead as money over the kindness of people), but the most empowering line of his poem was his conclusion: “if we don’t work together, we will all be equally extinct”. To be taken from this video is that our morals are falling to the ground, and if anything, our motivation to fix them should be our future children.
