This was taken in the reflection booklet #4.
And I realized something that helped me throughout all the other questions. I was looking at perpendicular all wrong and equations for that matter. It’s a step process
#1 perpendicular, you need to find slope
#2 you must accommodate the equation accordingly.
#3 understand that if your end result does not look like an equation. You might’ve done something wrong.
On this week, I learned what is perpendicular lines or parallel lines. When I have two slopes, if you take your slope and inverse it (-2 would become 2) it would eventually meet at 90*; thus making it perpendicular. However, if these two slopes are same, it would be parallel.
This is what I’ve learned in this unit. Not only how to calculate for the x y axis but also how to plot them onto a graph with the corresponding data.
Whenever you have perfect squares and a difference. You know their won’t have any middle piece to the polynomial. You will get conjugates. So you know you can multiply the two variables together and the units.
What I didn’t understand about this was you had to follow the “instructions” (the equation) like a book. You can’t skip a step nor rip a page out o the book you must read it. When it says there is 2 copies of the term then you must follow it and that you multiply it by 5 you must multiply the equation by 5.
1. Isolate the variables: move sin onto the other side of the equation and an index of -1
2. Place brackets around the opposite and hypotenuse

What I found confusing about question number 6 is that the index dictates if you are doing a square root, cubed root, 4th root (etc…) and when the radicand is a negative number than you must think about it like an exponent.
