This quote relates to The Friday Everything Changed short story because when Alma asked Ms. Ralston the question “Why cant the girls go for the water too?” she just wanted the girls to be able to do what the boys could do and when Ms. Ralston said she would think about it the boys almost immediately started tried to convince the girls to give in and change their mind about going for the water by bullying them and threatening them. But when Ms. Ralston hit that home run and proved that girls are just as good as boys. That was the small kindness that kept the darkness or bullying away.

When the quote said small acts of kindness it meant anything you do in a day that could include helping a friend move or standing up for someone when they are getting bullied or even giving someone a comment would be considered a small act of kindness.

The Rapid Access to Psychiatry is a program where the people and patients that need help can get into the hospital sooner and get help faster. This program has really helped a lot of people and are very thankful for what he did.
