A Television Drama

Part A- The Reporters POV

Here I just arrived on scene and police are telling everyone to stay inside as they believe the suspect is somewhere in this neighbourhood. He is armed and dangerous he’s shot 2 police men and been shot himself. He’s robbed a busy nearby bank and drove a car into a tree. Police recently saw him in the area but cant seem to find him, they have police dogs searching the area and down near the ravine. But still nothing to be found. Police are still encouraging everyone to stay away from the scene. Police just saw him run out from a group of trees, they were all ready to shoot but the man looked around and saw all of the armed police and collapsed on the ground in the middle of the road. He is now being taken away on a stretcher to the hospital and charges are pending at the moment.

Part B- Media and “A Television Drama”

I believe that the story is trying to make a point about how the media and news exaggerate the news story’s to seems worse then thy really are. For example Carole Mitchell was going to go outside and help the man when he was bleeding  because she didn’t know that he was a criminal. But if she would of heard about the story on the radio first, then she would of called the police right away and told them about the criminal in her back yard.
