Static Electricity
Today in our science class we did a experiment on static electricity. We used fur to give a static charge to the lucite sticks which we held beside the paper on the ruler that made our ruler turn in circles. This experiment had us racing with other teams in our class to see who had the best strategy and which group chose the best materials and fabrics to use. The rules to this competition were tat we weren’t allowed to touch the ruler and when had to make it spin around 10 times as fast as we could using static electricity. While 2 of the people from the group were racing another member from the group took snapshots and videos of our race from the beginning to the end with some extra clips of us charging out Lucite sticks and adjusting the ruler so it would stay balanced on the glass lenses. It was a pretty fun way to start off our unit on static electricity!
Science App Review
The app I found is a app that gives you information about all the elements on the periodic table. The app is called Periodic Table it is a app that is downloaded from the app store on my Microsoft Surface I don’t know if it can be downloaded on all devices, but you can find apps that do the same thing as my app that I found. This app can help when doing projects because I gives fast access to all the information you need on each element that is found on the periodic table. It’s super easy to help with your homework as well because it gives you tons of information that you could find on more than one website all when u click on the certain element.
My Debrief: I learnt that this app has so many good things about it that are much easier than having to search up a periodic table online every time you need to check an answer or find more information. Also I think I could of tried to play around and test the app to its limits but I think I did a good job.
