For my data visualization project, I chose to show data about what countries have the largest share of land area covered by forest. To represent this data simply and clearly, I chose the country from each continent that had the largest share of land area covered by forest and compare them. Obviously, seeing as Antarctica is a freezing desert, I was not able to find any data about forests there, so I decided not to compare it because the data wasn’t overly useful and explaining it would overcomplicate the situation. In my infographic, I used a horizontal bar graph to show the different percentage of forest. On the left side, you see the bar graph that allows you to compare the different countries and their percentage of forest. On the right you are able to see the exact percentage to a tenth, and what continent each country comes from. I used simple colours to make the presentation clean and clear to thoroughly demonstrate the information I am presenting.
