This week in math 10 we learned about all the different type of forms there are for equations. The form I am going to be talking about is general from. This form is also known as the “pretty” form but it doesn’t give us any information this way so we will need to change it. We can do tis by isolating y and then just doing algebra to solve the rest. By changing it we are then able to figure out the slope and the starting point for our line segment. The most important thing to remember is that whenever you move any number across the = the change from + to – or – to + so always keep this in mind when moving numbers around. Remember that you are always working to get y alone on one side on the =.
