Connection-Based Learning – Beekeeping fundrasier Solution Proposal Post
by Corban and Armaan posted monday may 3rd 2023
Define: When we first talked to Saul Mwame a beekeeper in Tanzania, he described what his job is and what he does. When he came to Canada he visited our class and described what problems he had. One of them being not having enough funding, so we jumped right on that. we felt pretty normal during Saul’s visit. no new exciting things happend. Besides that we went on to start aolving his funding problems. In the beginning of our research we had already had some ideas of what to do. We decided on doing a fundrasier for a beekeeper called Saul Mwame. We chose to use dunkin dounts for our product until we realised that its all the way in the USA and not in canada. Then we found out about another dount shop called Krispy Kream, we looked on the location this time and found out that it was all the way in Delta which is 45 min away from where we live.
CoOperate: When we first began our investigation, we already had certain specific strategies in place. We started by examining flower pricing, then after speaking with Mr. Robinson about fundraising, he provided us with some options. My partner, my relatives, and Mr. Robinson may all be of assistance to me. Making an outline would be necessary before creating the posters, the video, and the post.
CoCreate: We decided to organise a Dunk-in Donut fundraiser for beekeeper Saul Mwame. Before knowing that Dunkin’ Donuts is in the United States and not Canada. Then we discovered Krispy Kream, a different doughnut business. This time, when we looked up the address, we learned that it was in Delta, 45 minutes away. Still too far, so we decided to do flowers from Costco instead. We would need strong business judgement and an eye for potential customers if we wanted to earn a profit. Just a few coins and some paper for posters would be sufficient to get things going.
commemrate: here are some pics of our posters and when saul came to the classroom.
I think that the conncetion based leaning proccces went really well. We tought about diffrent ways to fundrase and We solve the problems what we had while finding ways to fundrase. i think that the quality of the post is good and well explainded on what we are going to do. we could have improved on the things we were going to fundrase and the advertisement for the fundraise.
here is the advertisement video

Really good job, I really liked how you hade so many visuals in your post. Did you count how much money you would need? This was a fantastic example of what it means to give back to the community.
yes i counted how much money i would need.
Very good explanation of how you used the collaboration lens to address issues that Saul, our beekeeping Tanzanian friend, shared when he visited our class. Great work considering how a fundraiser might work to help Saul get to the Chile convention. Great work putting an advertisement video together to promote your fundraiser. Awesome job. I am proud of you for trying to help Saul accomplish his goals. How could the knowledge you gained about solving this problem help you in the future?
this can help me in ther future by learing new ways to look at diffrnet ways to help people with the problems they have.
Awesome job explaining your fundraiser. Your blog post is detailed and enjoyed watching your video. Keep up the good work!
