Final Goal Setting-English Studies 12

WHAT IS ONE AREA (S) THAT YOU FEEL YOU DO WELL IN TERMS OF YOUR GOAL IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? 

I think that I am doing well expressing and thoroughly explaining my ideas from texts with evidence and quotes.  

 

IN WHAT AREA(S) DO YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO WORK ON IN TERMS OF MEETING YOUR GOAL IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? 

I feel like I need to work on responding to texts in a personal way and not use any run-on sentences when I am writing. I also need to expand my vocabulary when writing.

 

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOU DID IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? WHAT WERE YOU ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS SEMESTER?

I think I did well in English 12 because I was able to accomplish writing different genres and still get good grades on them (comparing and contrasting essays, personal essay, spoken word). I was able to accomplish writing the personal essay in class because it is often difficult for me to express my feelings and talk about my life through writing.

 

ARTIFACT (PROOF of your GOAL) 

When I wrote the novel synthesis essay, I was able to analyze many different sources, connect them using a common theme, and make a strong argument.

An area I feel I do well in English Studies 12 is expressing my ideas with evidence in essays and writes because I provided quotes, specific moments and examples from the stories I analyzed.

IN WHAT AREA(S) DO YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO WORK ON IN TERMS OF MEETING YOUR GOAL IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? 
 

An area I feel like I need to work on is responding to text in a personal way because I struggle with finding aspects in the stories I analyzed to relate to.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GOAL 

 

HOW DO YOU FEEL YOU DID IN ENGLISH STUDIES 12? WHAT WERE YOU ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS SEMESTER?  
 

I feel like I am doing well in English Studies 12 because before submitting my work, I get people I know and trust to proofread it. I was able to accomplish handing in all my assignments on time and understand how we view the novel we are reading through multiple different lenses. For the rest of the semester, my goal is to continue to deepen my understanding of identity, others, and the world in different texts.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ARTIFACT (PROOF of your GOAL) 

When I wrote the short story synthesis essay, I provided evidence from both short stories with quotes and moments from them in terms of how the protagonists have similar morals but they both act differently on them.
