Hunger Games Theme Park District 13

Reflection

I and Nic created a theme park for District 13 in the Hunger Games novel. District 13 is known for Nuclear Power and the Rebellion against the Capitol.  The Atomic Thrust rollercoaster I made was based on Nuclear Power and the history of District 13. The Atomic Thrust was based on a rocket which is made from Nuclear power and has real fire coming out the back of it. It also shows you battle grounds, underground tunnels, and secrets of District 13. Munk has nuclear powers and was a normal citizen of District 13 before the rebellion. His powers include nukes on his wrists, nuclear manipulating and flying. All of these powers relate to District 13 because Munk was originally a nuclear engineer and he built all of them by himself. He used the traditional nuclear ways of District 13 and combined them with modern ways. The theme park is based on District 13. Characteristics of District 13 include Nuclear Technology and weapons, Rebellion against the Capitol of Panem, and being the outermost district. The software we used to complete this assignment was Microsoft Sway and Nightcafe. We used Microsoft Sway for the presentation above. Using Sway is fairly easy because it does all of the design elements for you. We used NightCafe to generate AI art. I used creative thinking in this assignment when developing and generating prompts to put into NightCafe to give me what I want.  I also used creative thinking when writing the paragraphs for the images NightCafe created. An example of this was when I was writing about the Character Munk. I created a story where he was just a normal citizen but turned into the hero of District 13.

  1. Thank you for posting your ‘Artificial Intelligence Theme Park’ based on the novel, “The Hunger Games.” I have the following observations for you:

    USE OF AI:
    – Great job coming up with images that highlight the novel and the particular district you focused on

    WRITTEN DESCRIPTIONS:
    – Paragraphs match the district, somewhat fits the narrative of the plot, some do not
    – Not sure how some items fit, such as the oatmeal
    – Spelling and grammar mistakes are frequent

    REFLECTION:
    – Included and answers the various questions with details and explanations about the process to create the assignment and the core competencies explored.

    POSTING:
    – Items were properly posted

Thank you for posting, your mark will be added to MyED,
