last week I finished my doll pants I know just have to hand them in so I will be finishing all of that up by the end of this week. last week by Wednesday I started my recycle project. I have chosen to up cycle one of my sisters old dresses, she’s had it for a while but its too long for her and she would like it to to be a little tighter on her. I have already cut it to a shorter length it now falls above the knew instead of falling right to the floor. My plan for this dress is to bring it in slightly around the waist, to add some lace to the collar and the bottom of the dress. It already has a pretty busy pattern so I don’t want to add to much lace or any more fabric. If I finish the dress before the end of the week I would like to make a little accessory to go with the dress with the left over fabric from when I cut it, I’m think of a head band or a small bag. I did run into a challenge last week, when I cut the dress the first time it came out being crocked it hanged lower on one side, but I went back measured how much I had to cut off, then put pins at where the dress would have to end. The second time cutting went much better it came out even. I am now in the process of pinning all along the bottom to prepare it for sewing.
