Using Unit Analysis to Convert within SI Units
To convert within SI you must first find your conversion factor which is dependent on what measurements you’re converting. In the case of the example above the conversion factor will be how many centimeters in a meter. There are 100cm in every 1m so that means our conversion factor in 100cm/1m. The reason for 1m being in the denominator is because we need cancel out the m so that we are only left with cm. After that you have to multiply the denominator and numerator and in some cases you will need to divide the numerator by the denominator to get your answer.
