Progress is sometimes good

Our knowledge of the world is constantly expanding and growing, and if we didn’t have the first kinds of technologies to build off of. We wouldn’t have the amazing technology we do today. From these technologies we have learnt and are continuing to learn and progress. Because of this we have prolonged our lives much longer than the earliest people would live to, and we learnt and discovered different diseases and from that cures and medicines for these diseases have been found. Our knowledge about the world and everything around us is constantly growing. Once a technology has been found, we grow from that expanding our thoughts and ideas trying to make it better, trying to progress. For example, X-rays have pros and cons. They can find problem areas in your body which could possibly prolong your life later on, scientists are constantly looking at scans and finding new diseases and sicknesses. Although, through all of this the machine is giving off radiation which is potentially harming your body. This all makes me agree with Kevin Kelly’s statement.
