This week I learned how to use slope formula and the different way to write an equation of a line.

Slope formula:

• A simple way to find the slope that works every time
• You can only use it to find a missing coordinate if you have the slope, 1 coordinate and one value from the 2nd coordinate

How to find the slope using slope formula

Find the y-values and the x-values. Plug them into the formula (first y – second y divided by the first x – second x)

How to find part of a coordinate using slope formula

• Fill in what you know
• Simplify what you can
• Cross multiply (one value on each side of the = sign)
• Distribute
• Isolate the variable
