For week 11 we had our midterm and something I practiced was the conversion of measurements. The first thing you do to convert a yard to inches is to first convert it to a feet. You have to find how many times feet go into one yard, it is 3. then you find how many inches go into feet, which is 12. You use a criss cross mechanism basically making it look like a fraction. If yards is the numerator then in the second fraction its the denominator, this goes for all of them. However, when you’re trying to find the measurement of what it will be when it is inches, the inches have to be at the top in your final answer.
