Luminaries Process/Journal 13

I used the mold of my foot but it didn’t work well so I made the sole with out the mold.

the reflection on how last week went

my shoe is half way done but i haven’t started my small ones yet so I should’ve done that. Also, I needed to start my inquriy project to but I didn’t.

A goal for this week

  1. a goal for the inquriy is that start making the flowers and the trunk of the tree.
  2. a goal for the luminaries is that finish this up and make small ones.

Luminaries Process/Journal 12

I got really good design for my luminaries so I started to make it. My clay lumiary is a shoe becuase I don’t like my hight so I always wear boots. My recyle material luminary is a girl in the water tank and close her ears. That represents that my trauma. It shows that I don’t want to hear anything. My paper luminary is a japanese launtern. It represnts my identity, it’s not like my darkness but I thought it’s fun too. I started with the clay one. I used plaster to make a mold of my feet and put clay on it. Then I’m letitng it dry.

The reflection on how last week went

I could start my luminary project but I needed to start long term project. I couldn’t. come up with good ideas until Wednesday and I started clay work so I didn’t have time to do the inquiry. The presentation was fine it went pretty good exceot for one of my presenter couldn’t talk but otherwise it was good.

A goal for this week

  1. For the inquiry, I need to start making trunk of the tree.
  2. For the luminary I’m gonna finish making tht shoe.

 

 

Luminaries Process/Journal 10

November 15, 2021

I draw a few designs for my luminaries project.  Also, three groups presented last Tuesday and we did activities but I forgot to take pictures of the work. It was fun to learn what kind of art movements are existing and what those are meaning.

The reflection on how last week went

I couldn’t make cherry blossoms again but I could expose a few designs for luminaries project. I feel I need more designs because I don’t like these. For the presentation, I made sure that our ppt is done.

A goal for this week

  1. A goal for the long term is to make cherry blossoms and gather wires.
  2. A goal for the luminaries is to draw more idea.
  3. A goal for the presentation is to not feel nervous when I present it.

Luminaries Precess/Journal 9

I’m inspired by these because of the details. The blue one and middle one are Japanese style luminary. The blue one looks like a temple. There are things that look like flowers which is really detailed on the roof. It looks simple but I can feel the tradition. Middle one is also Japanese style. I like the design. It’s fancy to light up the design. Also, the flowers and leaves cut it out really detailed. The last one got my eyes because personally I like small houses. It is like dwarfs house and circle which is not usual shape for houses. Also, the roof looks like witch’s hat which is hard to shape with clay. I was impressed.
From those inspiration I designed cute one and funny one as well.
