Dream House Core Competency Reflection

For this project in DDA10, I was asked to create my ideal dream house using a program called Revit. Having a rough idea of what I wanted my house to look like before I started creating the blueprints helped me. I will say that even after making the prints, I wasn’t completely sure if that was how I wanted my house to look. When I got onto Revit though, I followed my plans but then got new ideas along the way, like having a separate room as the entry; which wasn’t in my original plans. I would say that I used creative thinking and critical thinking throughout this my dream house wasn’t just making plans based on what was proportional, but it was also accustomed to how I want and need my house to function and look, so I had to get creative. What I learned through this project will help me in the coming years; I learned how to use Revit and other AutoCAD software, and I learned that maybe I would like my future career to be in architecture or something relevant to that.
