I agree with Mr. Kelly when he says that people achieve progress with technology through what he calls, “the proactionary principle.” I think it is very important that people constantly engage new technology and try it out, asses it, and see what we can gain from it. He made many strong points that as humans, the reason why we were able to survive so long was because of technology. What that basically means is that, humans only progress when technology progresses, because technology has become such a large part of our lives that we rely on it in order to improve as a society. Another part of his talk that I really liked and agreed with is that although sometimes new technology, “diverts from what you want,” we can, “relocate it,” or manipulate it in a way where it becomes helpful and can be of good use. I strongly agree with this point because I believe that everything that we have available to us, has a purpose and can be used in a way where it can initiate progress in humanity.
