For “take our kid to work day”, I went to the University of British Columbia with my mom to observe what she does everyday. My mom is a science lab manager specializing in epigenomics. During that time, I was watching students working with cells and robotics as well as my mom’s boss (the professor) talking with his students at their meeting that day. I really enjoyed my time especially talking and meeting with the students at the lab. I really enjoyed my time and this really gave me a view on what university is like.
