Cows face several threats in modern agricultural and environmental contexts. These include exposure to diseases such as bovine tuberculosis and foot-and-mouth disease, the effects of climate change on their habitats and food sources, and the fact they’re used as a food source.

Threats to the health of cows can be minimized through disease prevention, higher animal welfare standards, including pasture-based and ethical farming methods, and sustainable agricultural techniques.

What would you like to investigate/make as a term-long project?

  • For my inquiry project I have decided to make a bunch of different patterns of friendship bracelet and giving them to friends or anyone who wants one.

inspirations photos:

What do you need to get started?
    • I will need various colored embroidery, scissors, tape or a water bottle to secure the string. I want to do this because i don’t think it will cause me too much stress and I can work on it after outside of school. I know a lot of people who have made friendship bracelets for others or for themselves. Right now I’m wearing 2 that I’ve gotten from my friends 2 years ago and I have more somewhere in my room.
How will you begin the project?
  • Research and Learn: first I need to learn different friendship bracelet patterns and techniques, I can look online for tutorials/patterns. Next I need to gather supplies + design and create. I have to make sure I have the supplies necessary and choose the bracelet pattern and colours.

  • What challenges might you face in completing your goal?A few of the challenges I can face are learning new patterns because I will probably make mistakes and mess-up, which means I might have to restart the bracelet. Another one is time management even though I dont have an exact number I want to make in a certain amount of time. But I don’t always use my time wisely and I tend to procrastinate.

collaborative maintenance

Me and Brooke organized thread and embroidery thread. I forgot to take a before photo for the thread, but I took one after, after which I put the colours into their correct bin, and then for the embroidery thread, we put everything into bags and tried our best to have the same types of colours in there, so it’s easy to find the colour you want. Then we got rid of all the short, useless thread or thread already used for an uncompleted bracelet. Thread is used for sewing and embroidery thread is used for making bracelets so both important things that you need to know where it is. This contributed to our classroom environment by making it more organized and easier for people to find what they need so they can do their work.
