Identities Paragraph

How was he supposed to know a guy in a rough neighborhood hood, driving a nice car looking rough when prompted to stop reaching for identification not a concealed weapon. The short story identities was written by W.D valgardson, the story was published in 2006 and took place in Winnipeg, during this time they had a high crime rate in the area. The officer “who is inexperienced” was justified in killing the man because the man made a sudden movement and for a newly trained officer, protecting yourself is what you have been trained to do in a moment like this. The neighborhood wasn’t the greatest and therefor the officer assumed the man was up to no good. He obviously wasn’t use to the area, he was a new officer and “a potential thief” made a quick movement after being prompted to stop. I’m sure there are other ways this could have been dealt with but I still believe the officer was justified.
