Math 10 Week 18

Top five lessons in Math 10

  1. measurement; because this lesson you are more likely use measurement your whole life and not just in school.
  2. trigonometry; because the lesson was very simple and easy plus you get to learn SOH CAH TOA!!!!!!
  3.  linear relations ; because who doesn’t like working with graphs and lines.
  4. polynomials; because in this lesson you use tiles like x squared, x and the 1’s, so it is a good lesson for visual learners.
  5. numbers; because its a great lesson that you will always use and good to know.

Math 10 Week 17

this week i learned how to solve system equations.

so to solve this equation i used substitution so i isolate y, then i substitute it for the y in the other equation once i get i just that equation to get what x equals, then i know what x is so i substitute the answer of x for x and solve that. then you have the x and y so you check it and put x and y into both equations and if they equal each other x and y are correct.

Math 10 week 12

This week I learned how to make an equation for a linear relation T chart.

For the relation you see that it go’s up by 6 every time so a trick I use is if it go’s up by 6 it mean the it’ll be 6 times x plus or subtract a # or if it went up by 2 everytime it would be 2 times x plus or substract  a #. So to make the equation it’ll be 6•X-4 and it’ll be -4 because 6•1-4 is 2, 6•2-4 is 8 etc.

math 10 week 11

this week i have been studying for the mid term (mixed and entire radicals)

So first you do a factor tree to get the factors then once it’s all prime numbers left you you put them all together under the root 3 and since there’s a root 3 you see all the factors that there is 3 of. After you take the numbers thet had 3 of them you multiply them for the coefficient, then multiply what left under the root

Math 10 Week 2

this week i learned about how to convert a mixed radical to an entire radical and how to convert a entire radical to a mixed radical.

What I do for converting a  entire to a mixed is see what square number go’s into the number and then put it to a square root and i also put in the square root of how many times the square number go’s into the original number, then just square root the square number.

For converting mixed to a entire you just square the coefficient and multiply it by the square root number to get the bigger number that is a entire radical root.

Inquiry Post for: “The Watch”

In the story The Watch by Elie Weisel, the author tells his story about how he berried his watch and then sent to a concentration camp with his family. And after coming back after 20 years to get back his watch, then puts it it back because it brings back his tragic memories and the past: “the watch might recover its luster, its memory of the past.” (page 223) so he rebarries the watch and walks away from his memories, as he walks away from his watch “the sun was rising and I was still walking through the empty streets and alleys.” (page. 224) To say that he is staring a new life.
