- What are some things that were challenging?
Previously, I had only ever watched others use the Cricut machine, so the process was quite new to me. Ms. Schollen, the library assistant, was in the area, and after noticing my design, warned me that it might be difficult to pull off. However, I was determined to make it work, as this is the album art of my brother’s favourite band, Sigur Rós. Although it was quite tedious, I was able to fumble around with the settings and keep all the small details intact.
- What are some things that worked well?
Aa a whole, I think the design came out amazing. I was able to complete this in a total time of about an hour, including using the software, cutting the design out, peeling, and ironing on. The overall process was very intuitive and fun.
- What did you learn? How can you apply this?
Having learned how to use the machine, and how quick these projects can be made, I’m full of inspiration to add designs to everything around my house. I’m already planning out how I can make a custom band t-shirt for myself, and have a friend, outside of the Tech Team, that I’m going to help with a Cricut project in the near future. I’ve learned the potential of having this tool easily accessible at school, and can’t wait to use it more!
