QUESTIONS
What are some strengths of the Divi Builder?
After experimenting a bit with the builder, I quickly got used to it and found it very easy to create stunning pages and posts.
Divi lays everything out very clear and gives you a lot of room to customize. I love having the option of starting with a premade layout but making it my own.
No matter what sections you add, the page will always look great. It’s very easy to insert existing work and make in visually appealing.
What are some weaknesses?
One thing I found the Divi Builder lacking is visuals. While designing my page, I would have to constantly check what it looked like. In the builder itself, it isn’t very clear what the end result will look like. I wish the spacing of each section was a little more clear in the builder.
I also found that some of the fonts do not translate into the final product; most default to the original Times New Roman.
How can this plugin be used in a classroom setting? Would you use it and/or recommend it?
This plugin can easily be used to enhance a normal EduBlog post. It definitely gives some oomph to a basic reflection. However, jumping from the builder to the final page and seeing what looks good can get quite tedious. In my opinion, if a student is willing to put in some extra time to improve the visual aspect of their blog, then this plugin is a great choice.
I would definitely recommend trying Divi out. However, you must be willing to go through some trial and error to find what you like. It is very easy to learn how to use!
Great review. Thank you for taking the time to provide such great information.
