math summery 2

adding and subtracting fractions:

I learned about adding and subtracting all fractions and how to convert between improper fractions to mixed fractions. I also learned about multiplying and dividing all fractions.

in order to add them make sure you have a common denominator

3/2+4/5

now times 2 and 5 by each other: 5×2=10

now you times 3 by 5 and 4 by 2: 3×5=15, 4×2=8

now add: 15/10+8/10 = 23/10

now make into mixed fraction:

23 goes into 10, 2 times and the remainder is 3: 2,3/10ths

math 9 summary

during my time in math 9 i have learnt about adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiply fractions, integers, and decimals. we also learnt about square roots and how to estimate imperfect squares. some examples of the work we learned is:

  1. √94= 9.7    94 is closer to 100 so the decimal point will be  closer to 10 than 9

10 x 10 = 100

9 x 9 = 81

2.   6/27 x 9/12 = 1/18

a) cross simplify:          b) times the new fractions            c) simplify if possible:

6 ÷ 6= 1   12 ÷ 6 = 2               1/9 x 1/2 = 1/18

27 ÷ 9 = 3   9 ÷ 9 = 1

this is the rest of my document

On the left side of the photo, you can see it is gray I think the image is not only showing the aboriginal’s sadness, but it is showing history, its like an old image from a camera that is colorless, but it also shows lack of beauty and joy in their lives at that time. In the center of the art piece, the kids have brown skin, but are still wearing gray. This is showing the Aboriginals trying to fit in with society because they are afraid of harassment and bullying. In the center of the art piece, it shows color but the kids are still wearing gray, this is showing the people trying to fit in with people because they are afraid of harassment and bullying. The reason I believe the art piece shows the story of the change in respect for Canadian Aboriginals going from left to right is because, their history goes from death and sorrow to joy and hope.

thinglink bento box

Here is my Bento Box for the COL Short Story Assignment, the bento box assignment is where I had the choice of sea devil or mountain journey, which I later had to make connections with. I chose mountain journey, I had to used the theme hubris and connect it to mountain journey. What digital platform did I use? I used thinglink and canva for my project. What was the nature of the assignment?

science 9 reflection

What have you learned so far in Science 9 ? I learned about  biology which includes: chromatids, chromosomes, cell structure, the food chain and more! i also learned about chemistry, in chemistry we learned about the periodic table which was new to me, as well as chemical bonding: compounds, ions, covalent bonds and more.

How have you developed? I have developed because before high school I didn’t get homework. Which mean getting lots of homework was sort of new since I had homework in Q1. I am more used to  getting lots of homework now.

What are your goals for the rest of Q3 and your next Science course?

in quarter three my goal is to hand all/most of my assignments in on time, listen well, do well, and get good grades. my goals for science ten as well is handing everything on time all the time, study lots, and get good grade.

ruthenium

Go to this Sway
  1. i search up things like: interesting facts about ruthenium, common ways to using it, how was it named, lots of my information was all on one site.
  2. sway was a new tool for me to use, it was somewhat complicated at first but I figured it out soon
  3. I searched for images, then I made slides, searched up in formation, wrote it down in my own words, and then I “decorated”.
  4. i made sure that it was true information, by searching it up on many websites to double check, and when you give which website you use you can just copy and paste the link.
  5. i think i did well on the project and it wasn’t too hard of a topic.
