the wood bug (armadillidiid) has a hard outer shell to protect its self by rolling into a ball. one of the main reasons it rolls into a ball is when its overheated and trying to keep in the moisture. Unlike most bugs the wood bug breathes through gills to exchange gases but cant not breathe underwater. These insects feed off of dead plants and wood not living things as most people think.
there are two types of black berry bushes, the original and none invasive black berry plant that comes from Canada and the invasive black berry plant from Europe. The European black berry plant is able to grow here because Canadas weather is similar to Europe’s. When this plant came to Canada it start to invade everything this plant sends branches out to find soil and replant itself taking other plants space in the process. The European black berry plant is so annoying to have in your backyard people have tried to get rid of it by digging up its root or even using chemicals like herbicides.
