Silver Lining

Many different silver linings came out of this current event for me. First of all, spending time with my family is very important to me and I got to spend a lot more time with my family because my whole family is now working from home. We all got to watch a bunch of new T.V. shows together and play board games together and go on a bunch of family walks. One thing that I found that I really enjoy is that every morning me and my dad will take my dog flash for a walk around the park. Flash loves to run around and it was more family time that I love. Another good outcome of this event is that I have found an interest in baking. I have always been into baking in the past, but since the pandemic I have loved trying out new recipes. Some of my favourite recipes are chocolate chip cookies, pies, whipped coffee, and banana bread. I have really enjoyed spending a lot of my free time trying new recipes. I have also seen lots of videos online about families and even strangers doing lots of good deeds for others. For example, people are helping get groceries for the elderly and people who are not able to get out and get the supplies that the need. I really liked seeing how people are helping other and making sure that people who are most in danger are staying safe. People are also supporting the essential workers by cheering, banging, and honking every night at 7:00pm. I really look forward to hearing all the sounds and support for all the people who are helping everyone stay safe. The final silver lining that I want to mention is that people are going to be better at using technology. Everyone is having to use technology to do their work on, so everyone is going to be improving on their technology skills. By the time the world is back to normal everyone is going to be able to work really well online. I would much rather have life back to before, but I am glad that I found some positive sides to some of the bad times in life.
