To me this photo represents a lot of things deeper than just the photo. I believe that this picture represents disrespect and inclusivity. To me this picture shows that the kids in the colors are a lot happier and it looks like they are expressing themselves freely, whereas the kids in the grey seem very unhappy and all look and wear the exact same thing. It looks like there feelings and culture are bottled up. I think this relates to society in a big way. Society is a forcing people to be who others want them to be and not who they want to be. Society forces people to be all the same, it forces people to change themselves to all be the same. Society strips culture from people, if they embrace their culture they are shamed and judged to the point where they push it aside to be like everyone else. Some choose not to push it aside and they get harassed to the point where they’re forced to put their culture aside and be like others. I think that society and people are disrespecting cultures and the people that express themselves with their cultures. I think this picture had a way deeper meaning then what it showed. I also think this picture shows what has been happening to cultures for years now and it still is happening without many things changing. I think that this photo also shows disocclusion to cultures. So, in conclusion I believe that the deeper meaning behind this photo is about disrespect and disocclusion.
