I don’t really know how to explain this but I think it’ll be very helpful. Starting off this week I felt pretty confident with what we’ve learned so far, the only thing i got stuck on was 6.2 in the work book. Questions such as (if g(x) =6x+3, then determine the value of x if g(x)=-24). I asked for help from Ms. Burton and my peers and managed to start understanding how to work through it.
when working through math problems it’s very difficult to find the point where all the lessons we’ve learned so far over lap. The question in 6.2 just son happened to be one of those points.
When working with questions like the one above remember that whatever is done to one side need to be done to the other. if g(x) =6x+3, then determine the value of x if g(x)=30. First step to this question is inputting the 30 where the x is, the question would come out like this 30=6x+3. The next step is to remove the +3 , so we -3 from the right side and -3 from the left side. Then we divide everything by 6 to isolate the variable. The answer would be 4.5=x
