In week 6 of Math 10 we continued the Measurement unit, on Tuesday we did Surface Area and Volume of Pyramids and Cones and how they relate to prisms and cylinders. It turns out that three pyramids has the same volume one prism of the same dimensions and its the same with cones, three cones has the same volume as one cylinder of the same dimensions. Following that we did our ninth and final lesson, the Surface Area and Volume of Spheres. We learned that the volume of a sphere is the same as two cones. When it is put this way it’s easier to use formulas to find the volume of a sphere.
