INQUIRY PROJECT:

Monomi Project:

My first Inquiry project was on making Monomi from Danganronpa.

Much like the Monokuma Inquiry project I did last grade… I knew I had to make Monomi.

February 6, 2023:

I start with the head with  a sphere like shape but flatten just a little bit. since it must be hollow, I carve the shape by cut the back, then scoop out most the clay out, after that I just put a piece of clay to cover the carved hole.

after the head shape was complete I start adding the ears, bow tie, eyes, snout, nose, and lips for mouth (which was the most difficult part to add).

February 7, 2023:

February 8, 2023:

Monomi was fired up and needed a Sandown

February 27, 2023:

the black and white were easy but the pink was too dark so it needed more white into the mix

Better improvement on the pink and added eyelashes

EPIC FAIL:

It accidently fell forward and broke its right ear, so I had to glue it back in place.

after a few adjustments the Monomi project is COMPLETE!

Pingu Project:

My second inquiry project is on Pingu

since Pingu is from a Claymation TV series

it might be easier to make but how it turns out in the end it wont look perfect.

February 16, 2023:

Progress:

Torse and head

applying the arms made the model look funny especially on the shoulders. so had to squeeze it flat to make it look like its merged with the torse.

February 17, 2023:

The feet were sculpted but when placed with the torso it looked funny so I gave him very little legs.

feet attached but his right foot is a little out of place

February 28, 2023:

Pingu model was fired and ready to get a coat of paint

did a bit of sanding on some areas

March 3, 2023:

paint:

Red: Beak

Black: Head, Torse, Pupils

White: Belly, Eyes

Yellow: Belly linings

Orange: Feet

after giving Pingu a coat of paint this project is complete!

Squid sister Project (CANCELLED)

My third project is on the Squid sisters Callie & Marie from Splatoon.

just by the title of the project itself, yes its a cancelled project…

At first I wanted to make it the same size as like its respective amiibo

but I thought it would be too difficult to shape.

so I instead went for their plushie shape, since the shape is bigger it would be easier.

but it all went down as it progressed more…

April 13, 2023:

Heads are way too oval and the face is too flat…

added hats

April 17, 2023

added tied back hair and earrings

April 19, 2023:

added arms (hands are like hulk hands)

April 20, 2023:

Torse too short…

April 24, 2023:

torse size increase and some sculpting adjustments

April 23, 2023:

the models are complete (good lord it looks so funny looking) but just as the models were done I decided not to continue because I didn’t like how I thought it turned.

so I demolished both the models making this project canceled.

Comeback (sort of):

I didn’t like how the first attempt worked out but after some planning and idea making, the Squid Sisters project is making a comeback.

May 15, 2023:

Heads are not very oval instead more round

both hats added

added on Marie’s tied back hair

May 16, 2023:

Torse with arms added.

May 17, 2023:

Callie’s tied back hair added

both Ears added

struggled with the lower body part

scrapped the idea of a full body model instead just keep it to a head model

demolished the torses but kept the heads

added both back hair detail

May 18, 2023:

both earrings added

and extra bit of clay added on Marie’s head to make it stand flat

May 29, 2023:

May 30, 2023:

paint process… (paint from Caitlyn)

May 31, 2023:

Skin color added

June 16, 2023:

more progress on Callie

June 21, 2023:

Its a messy project and nose and mouth are missing because time constraint

since this is rushed these are based on their character icon

but its about time this project is finally done!

Pom Pom Project:

My fourth and Final inquiry project is on Pom Pom on Honkai: Star Rail

May 30, 2023:

May 31, 2023:

Pom Pom needs this plate to support it’s stance because it little legs cant stand. without the ears it reminds me of  Pillsbury Doughboy

June 2, 2023:

ears added

Now its ready to be fired.

June 9, 2023:

After fired:

Paint progress:

June 15, 2023:

June 16, 2023:

I’m not adding the missing details Because time constraints

After applying the pink cheeks the Pom Pom project is complete!

Life below Water project:

ever since the life below water project was introduced. I have already planned for what project I will do

my life below water project is on a shark.

my reasons for the shark project is because of the humans interference in the oceans, the shark population is slowly dying.

so I’m show that despite many people just see sharks as a killing eating machine, sharks play an important role in maintaining a healthy marine ecosystem.

most notable negative impacts that humans have on shark population are from:

  • overfishing
  • shark finning (cutting off shark fins and use them to make shark fin soup)
  • Habitat and prey loss

There are ways to help save the Sharks from being killed off of existence for example:

  • Learn as much as you can about sharks
  •  Do not use shark Products
  • reduce your seafood consumption

my shark references:

the first picture is suppose to reference the shape of this

the second picture is suppose to reference its realistic look

Clay model:

my only struggles on the shark was the teeth.

because sharks have so much teeth but attaching small piece of sculped teeth would make the shark look funny with micro teeth so I just went for just four on top and bottom.

After fired:

After being fired I sand it down so it wont feel too rough.

mixed the black and white to make grey.

mixed red and green to make like wounded dryish blood.

mixed red and white to make pink for the gums

The Grey goes on the top part of the shark

The Black goes on the Eyes and the inside of the mouth

the Blood red goes on the Cuts, Wounds, and some parts of the teeth

my only struggles on painting this was mostly inside the mouth since I don’t want to ruin it I just mostly paint the inside black with the cheeks having an incomplete amount of pink.

Great White Shark

March 2023, Acrylic on Ceramic

Jeremy Lee

The Great White Shark is a large fish which can be found in the coastal waters of all major oceans. Sharks are threatened by overfishing, habitats/prey loss, and human interference. usually, sharks get hunted down by humans for shark meat or most popular Shark fin soup.

Despite People just see Sharks as just a giant killing/eating machine, shark play an important role in maintaining a healthy marine ecosystem. We can solve this by try to learn as much about Sharks, stop using sharks as food products constantly, and reduce seafood consumption.

Dragon Head project

Now for a much more complex project than the mask project. the Dragon head project!

For my dragon head project…

this took some time to think of a plan but here’s my plan for the dragon head:

my plan is to make a merge between a polar bear & a Bunny Rabbit.

the sketch art: (P.S. I did not make this sketch art)

Credits goes to: Caitlyn

The sketch art looks less like a bear and more like a dog…

May 18, 2023:

May 24, 2023:

head looks more like a dinosaur than a bear when you look at a certain angle.

May 29, 2023:

with the nose painted black it looks a little more like a bear
