Home lab Pasta/Rice
I made Rice burger for home lab assignment. We were supposed to use recipes related to pasta and rice. I chose Rice burger because it was an interesting recipes and I was curious how it will turn out. After the lab, I thought it would be healthy and taste better if I added some vegetables like cucumber, paprika, and carrots.

Inventor 3D Project
During the inventor 3D project, I researched in google about the things that could be useful in our daily lives. Then, I thought about my rings, bracelets, and accessories all over the place. I decided to make a jewelry box in inventor. I made the box for holding watches and bracelets and zig zag wall for placing rings like small items. I created the orthographic projection and isometric projection.

Cell Story
Part 1: Cell story
I am a colorless cell living in blood and body fluids of my host’s body. My name is Leukocyte, but other cells call me white cell. When my host has an infection, signals go to marrow and special glands to create more white blood cells. I was manufactured in red marrow of bones and my some of my friends were born in special glands elsewhere in the body. There is a white cell club where only the largest blood cells can enter. Their main duty is to protect their host from infectious diseases as a solider and maintain the immune function. In the white cell club, there are 6 types of leukocytes such as, lymphocytes, macrophage, neutrophil, eosinophil, and basophil. I belong to neutrophil sector. Our group, neutrophils, makes up the majority of total white cells. For instance, we have an outstanding popularity of 50% to 70% of white cells. Mature neutrophils like me are twice the size of red blood cells and has a segmented nucleus. My role is to ingest bacteria and invaders unfamiliar in the body. Moreover, I can squeeze through tiny blood vessels and leave bloodstream to enter other tissues that are being attacked by foreign invaders. I have worked in my host’s body for 18 days which means I got 2 more days left to finish my duty. Healthy person has 4 and 11 thousand leukocytes in every cubic inch of blood. When leukocytes count drops, my host will experience immune degradation. On the contrary, too much leukocytes count in the body will cause leukemia.
Part 2: The Making of Cell Story
I asked questions like what is the function of leukocyte? What is the life cycle of leukocyte? What types of leukocytes are there? What is the structure of leukocyte? What happens when leukocytes count drops? How many leukocytes does the healthy person carry? to create my own cell story. I used EBSCO Host, YouTube and google for my research tool. I started with the google to narrow down what I wanted to know about specifically. Then, I used EBSCO for academic research. To verify and cite the information I found, I checked if the website and author was credible. It was difficult to find the right article for function and structure of leukocyte in EBSCO and gale because it was irrelevant to what I was looking for and too professional. However, I still got some useful information about leukocyte. I think I could have done better by making my cell story more interesting.

Egg salad sandwich
Ingredient
6 hard boiled eggs
15ml of lemon juice
60ml of mayonnaise
15ml of yellow mustard
3.75ml of salt
3.75ml of pepper
125 ml of finely chopped celery
60ml of thinly sliced green onions
8 slices of bread
4 lettuce leaves
- Chop eggs
- Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and pepper in medium bowl
- Add chopped eggs, green onions and celery; mix it well
- Refrigerate, covered to blend colors
- Serve on bread with lettuce
Egg and cheddar quesadillas
Ingredient
15ml of unsalted butter
12 eggs beaten
240ml of shredded cheddar cheese
8 flour tortillas
240ml of salsa
- HEAT butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat until hot. POUR IN eggs. As eggs begin to set, GENTLY PULL the eggs across the pan with an inverted turner, forming large soft curds.
- ADD salsa. CONTINUE cooking – pulling, lifting and folding eggs – until thickened and no visible liquid egg remains. Do not stir constantly.
- SPOON eggs onto 4 tortillas, dividing evenly. SPRINKLE evenly with cheese; cover with remaining tortillas.
- CLEAN skillet. COAT with cooking spray; heat over medium-low heat until hot. TOAST quesadillas, one at a time, just until cheese is melted, 1 to 2 minutes per side. CUT into quarters to serve.
Microwave ham, mushroom& swiss coffee cup scramble
Ingredient
1 egg
15 ml of water
60 mL of chopped mushrooms
1 thin slice of chopped ham
30ml of shredded cheese
- Coat mug with cooking spray
- Add egg, water, mushrooms, and ham
- Beat until blended
- Microwave on high 30 seconds and stir
- Microwave until egg is almost set (3o to 45 seconds longer)
- Season with salt and pepper
- Top with cheese. Serve immediately
After this lab, I thought microwaving an egg in a coffee cup was very unique and worked out really well. I could have made it better by adding some chopped welsh onions and pepper.

We decided that Lucite and fur is the best material to use for the race.

How did your engine work?
Lucite charged by fur attracted the ruler and made it to spin.
How could you increase the velocity of your race?
I could have increased the velocity of my race by placing the lucite horizontal and closer to the ruler. Therefore, more surface area of lucite would attract the ruler stronger.
Orthographic Projection
I was creating plans for IPhone 6s. Orthographic projection is a two-dimensional graphic representation of an object in which the projecting lines are at right angles to the plane of the projection. The three displayed views are front, top, and right side. Isometric projection is a method of graphic representation of three-dimensional objects.

I interviewed my friend’s dad who is a plastic surgeon because I am interested in medical fields and wanted to know more deeply about the job as a doctor.
Interview Questions
- Why are you passionate about your job?As if greeting how are you to others, health is the most precious value for everyone. If you lose health, no matter how much money and honor you have, it is no use at all. I feel greatly rewarded when patients who have lost their health due to illness or accident are treated with care and returned to the society in a healthy way through treatment. It is the thing only doctors can do.
- What obstacles have you faced to get you where you are today?Long training for more than 10 years seemed to be the most difficult part of the process until becoming a doctor. I have always wanted to quit during the period of medical students and majors who were always taught and learned while being chased on time, but I think I was able to grow up solidly through process and come to a current position.
- What advice would you pass on to someone interested in what you are doing?A job as a doctor requires a sense of responsibility and a sense of duty that comes from working in relation to the life a person, as well as in appearance. Sometimes it can help patients to recover health through treatment or surgery, but sometimes it does not work well and sometimes it can harm patient’s health with wrong treatment. Therefore, it is a job that is very rewarding even though it receives a lot of mental stress. If you are interested and your aptitude is right, I think it is a challenging field.

- What study or Education is required to become a doctor?
The School of Medicine studies all aspects of clinical medicine such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, basic medicine, medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology. The number of courses seems to be over 50. In addition, if you choose a specialized department, you will concentrate on the specialized part of the department through the course of your major. I am a plastic surgeon through four years of plastic surgery major course.
6. Is their special reason why you choose to be a doctor?
To be honest, the first time I was interested in my job as a doctor was from watching a medical drama that was popular in high school. The characters in the drama were very impressive, and I felt a great charm for the job as a doctor. Since then I have been interested and searched about it. I decided on medical course because I also have related parts that I personally liked biology. As you know, the actual doctor’s life is very different from drama. It is hard to find such a handsome, personable and attractive male doctor or female doctor in the drama. It’s a joke. Thank you for the interview.
From the interview, I learned being a doctor needs great responsibility since it is a job dealing with life. I think doctor is a worthwhile job, seeing patients get healthy again by your help even though it can be difficult sometimes. It had been a great chance for me to feel more familiar with the job.
