What is the American dream? A topic about the American dream has provoked the heated debate among the public. Views vary from person to person. As for me, all I know is the dream to go study in America, in its famous universities like Stanford, Harvard… it’s a long story to tell. Speaking of the American dream, I remember before high school and before I came to Canada, when I being raised in China, everybody adore American education, so for kids and students, everyone is looking forward to study in the US, for parents, they suggest that it is a great thing for their children to study in university there. I have a “ real life” example is that my cousin has been there for graduate degree for several years , in between, he met any sort of problems, he struggled a lot when he first got there, then I realized not everybody can get to study there, people have varied issue and difficulties, for instance, financial problem, academic problem, visa , living and adaptation problem. It isn’t easy to study abroad because I have my personal experience for every international students. What’s more, I have so many feelings to this so-called “ American dream” to Chinese people, for those who had wanted to study in America, they pay so much to get to it not only money, there are so many documentary, movies, TV shows and so on about studying in America or on the way to achieve “American dream”. “ American dream”? Is it worthy?
