Week 7 – Factoring Bionomials

This week in math 10 week 7 we learned about factoring binomials and how that works. First here are some things you need to know about factoring binomials, binomials are always negative, so if your answer is positive, it is not a binomial everything has to be a perfect square root meaning whatever equation you do your answer will be positive, so some of the square roots are 1,4,9, 25,36,49,64,81. Here is the 1,2,3 step that will help you with factoring, 1- one thing the numbers have in common is finding the GCF, 2- Terms- the difference of square, 3- terms the x2, x, #, the product and sum.

This picture is just showing you that if you had the same number for an equation what would happen, so you would do X x X =X2 and then you would do +9 x -9 = -81, your answer would be x2   81.

here is my step-by-step demonstration.

step 1- Look at the equation to see what you have to do and what the equation is asking.

step 2- Solve the equation so, you would do the 2 2x’s which is 2x x 2x = 4x2  and then you do the 2 5’s and you do 5 x 5 = 25 and that’s how you get your answer which is 4x– 25.
