I grouped with Kia and Josephine. We decided to make something to put our masks on. Josephine took initiative with printing the hooks and Kia and I made Cricut stickers.

  • What did you build and why?

We built hooks for masks. We wanted a place to put and organize our masks instead of placing them somewhere random and losing them or forgetting which ones were clean or dirty.

  • What did you learn during the process? What were some of the challenges? What were some of the learning moments? Use images as examples.

I learnt that communication is very very important when working in a group. There were a couple of times where we didn’t discuss much and ended up confused. One of the challenges I faced was finding the right screw size for the hook, it was an odd size where the screw hole was very deep but small so finding a screw that fit was a challenge. I ended up settling for a screw that didn’t go deep enough for it to be secure, to combat this I used strong glue on the backside to keep it stable

  • If you could do it all again, what would change? What could be improved? Dream…

I would have thought more ahead about the dimensions rather than 3d printing and catering to the print afterwards, it would have been much easier to customize the hook rather than find the right size screw. I would change the colour of the wood, I thought the white would look nice but I realize now that black might have been better and I can’t change it now that the stickers are on.
