As a British official, I realize there are many alternatives to governing Quebec. I have chosen the policy of deportation to ensure the colony is properly run. Deportation will get all the people that are troubling to go away, so we do not have to think about them going against our ways. Since there is still French militaria in the area, they may want to try to get back at us for taking over their land, so if we get rid of them it won’t be a problem. We deported the Acadians previously so we will already know about how and where to deport people. This would then make Quebec a blank slate so we can start fresh with our own culture, religion, etc. Even though there would be some minor setbacks from deportation, we will be able to get through the tougher times and come out a stronger group overall. As I have outlined above, I believe the best policy for governing Quebec is deportation. This will ensure that the colony will remain under British control and provide wealth for our glorious country.
