TOKTW Reflection Sheet 2019 – Block D (Day 1) – Math 9 Honours

For TYKTW day, I did not go to one of my parents’ work because my mom does not work and my dad works on roofs so he did not let me follow him because he thought it was too dangerous for me. So, I went with my friend Lucas’s dad’s, Jason Weber, work where he is the CEO and the president of Alianza Minerals Ltd.. Alianza Minerals is partnered with Equity exploration so whenever he wanted to do a trip, he would go with Equity because Equity has all the equipment and the planning. There I learnt a ton about elements/minerals and drilling holes in the ground to gather minerals. I also learnt a lot about geoscience because that is what he has studied for over 29 years. It was a great experience because I got to learn new things and also it helped me get ideas for what I want to become in the future. Not a very clear idea yet but I am thinking of doing something science related.
