This week in math 10 we learned two new topics, the integral exponent law and scientific notation. While I found both of these different concepts interesting to learn about, I believe the most important thing I learned was the integral exponent law. I believe that the integral exponent law was the most important concept I learned this past week because all of the other exponent laws are rather simple, but when dealing with negative exponents it can be very easy to make a mistakes if not understood.
Whenever dealing with negative exponents the goal is to make the exponents positive. To do this the negative exponent needs to be made into a fraction and then the fraction needs to be flipped causing the negative exponent to become positive.
