How humanities have an impact on the world

It is common to hear today, in the era with the big technology and amount of knowledge, people often forget how fortunate we are and take everything for granted.

Humanities are full of language, literature, arts, history and philosophy. None of us will live long enough to survive every possible mistake and successfully learn from those mistakes. The humanities help frame the successes and mistakes of those who came before us. We all have to deal with our fellow human beings and our society. They reveal how people have tried to make moral, spiritual and intellectual sense of the world. They teach us to deal critically and logically with subjective, complex, imperfect information. They teach us to weigh evidence skeptically and consider more than one side of every question. It also encourage us to think creatively. They teach us to reason about being human and to ask questions about our world. In the article why-study-humanities by the University of Minnesota Morris, “Education isn’t just about knowing; it’s also about doing.” Meaning, people will be there to teach you and help you learn, but won’t be there to do the job for you. Hard work is the key to success in life, without it you will never succeed. There should never be a time in your life that you think you have won in life, because no matter how much you have, it’s not everything. You only live once, but sometimes once is enough. “Do or do not. There is no try.” famous-hard-work-quotes.

In conclusion, the study of humanities is more important than it ever was, from how far the world and people have come.
