In English 11, we learned many new concepts and ideas that I can now use in everyday life. More traditional English concepts such as the use of colons and semicolons to join sentences together. I also loved watching Dead Poet’s Society and began thinking in a much more poetic way after analyzing each of the poems – this influenced my spoken word. I now have expanded my thinking of any fiction, poem, or story in trying to find hidden meanings and poetic symbols in TV shows and movies.
