Week 16 – Math 10

This week, I learned how to put an equation into point slope form. Point slope form is the general form y – y₁ = m(x – x₁) for linear equations. In the equation, m = slope, x₁ = x-intercept, and y₁ = y-intercept. x₁ and y₁ and the two known points and x and y are the two unknown points. You would use this equation when you know one point on the line and when you know what m equals (m = slope). You would also use this equation when solving for any other points that are on the line.
