Week 1 – My Arthmetic Sequence

This week in math we learned about Arithmetic Sequences and Series.

My arithmetic sequence is 6, 13, 20, 27, 34

To find t_n, I need to use the formula t_n=t_1+(n-1)d

So to find t_{50} I need to do t_{50}=6+(50-1)7

The answer is 349.

To determine the sum of the first 50 terms or S_{50} , I have to use the formula S_n=\frac{n}{2}(2t_1+(n-1)d) , so I would use S_{50}=\frac{50}{2}(2*6+(50-1)7) , which would equal 8875.
