- There were numerous problems that emerged during this experiment. Some problems were that we had no previous knowledge on boats or boat design for floating, we lacked supplies and did not have a lot of time.
- If we place the straw at the bottom of the boat, then it will help support the weight of the pennies, because of the structure of the straws they act as a floating device.
- Our small boat held a total of 20 pennies.
- We thought the sticks would work as a support, the straw would be for support and floatation, and the tinfoil would hold everything together.
- I wouldn’t have folded in half at the beginning, we did this hoping that by having two layers the pennies wouldn’t rip through. However, this just shrunk our surface area for pennies.
