2 reason’s I disagree with Cristians option on Native Americans

  1. Cristians opinion #1 ” Why do we care so much, we should be able to wear and do what we want”

This statement really stirs things up in my head because the ignorance showned by a young white man by saying this statement is typical. As I say this, because him as a proud Italian, has never been challenged by society. As Cristian said this he never thought about the Natives fight and struggle from generation to generation and the racism that they have gone through. He never thought about their deep culture and tradition that others are taking effortlessly. I feel like he doesn’t understand if he had music, art, style, etc. , that he and his community worked so hard for and came up with for so long, and for a upper class new comer to just take bits and pieces of what you worked for so easily and meaninglessly, he would understand why ” we care so much “.

2. Cristians opinion #2 ” We are calling native Americans sexy, why’s this a problem?” (Answering to the picture of Victoria Secret model)

The reason why I am disagree with this statement is because he does not understand the meaning of the costume and how VS (Victoria Secret) misused it. They used the headdress without knowing the story and how hard it is to achieve one is the true tradition. Also, I feel like it didn’t cross his mind that VS made this costume to make big money and that they used appropriation against the Native Americans by just stealing their ideas to make money off these costumes. As a typical teenage boys he’s looking at the girls amazing body and not looking at the deeper meaning. Congrats the model is good looking and that’s he job but the problem is that everyone needs to learn about tradition before misusing it.

Inqueiry Post Macbeth

img_1887 Most hero’s do evil to accomplish such social ranking. William Shakespeare shows that in his play Macbeth, where the main protagonist is also the main antagonist. Macbeth goes on this gory and crazy killing spree filled with fear jealousy, and power, which is also why people do evil knowing so. That said, Lady Macbeth also is a big factor in the beginning of the evil: ” My father as he slept, I had done’t, ” (Act 2, Scene 2). She questions Macbeth’s manliness and calls him a wimp making him change his mind and ending up killing the king. Macbeth does plenty of evil in the play knowing it is evil; it does not stop him because the fear of him getting caught causes him to do more evil. The killing of Banquo proves the point of power will cause you to do more evil because with power came fear which lead to Macbeth hiring people to kill his best friend also leading to the murder of the killers. Macbeth does all these evil acts to build his ladder to success, he hurts other in order to succeed himself. Selfish people tend to do more evil than giving people. Lady Macbeth is evil itself wanting more power the more she had; using Macbeth to do so. ” If you weren’t a man, then what kind of animal were you when you first told me you wanted to do this? When you dared to do it, that’s when you were a man. And if you go one step further by doing what you dared to do before, you’ll be that much more the man. The time and place weren’t right before, but you would have gone ahead with the murder anyhow. Now the time and place are just right, but they’re almost too good for you. I have suckled a baby, and I know how sweet it is to love the baby at my breast. But even as the baby was smiling up at me, I would have plucked my nipple out of its mouth and smashed its brains out against a wall if I had sworn to do that the same way you have sworn to do this,” (Act 1, Scene 7). This proves evil was transferred to Macbeth from her and that once you are evil you will do it without stopping even if you know that your partners with the devil.

How does Milgram’s theory prove/disprove Goldings philosophy?

Milgram’s theory disproves Golding’s philosophy completely because we see in the book that Golding shows without rules the boys on the island go crazy and savage, while in the Milgram experiment we see that the “teacher” (aka – random volunteer) shows sympathy and cares about the “student” who is getting false shocks. The person in a uniform demands the “teacher” to up the shock when wrong. At first which might seem evil but it is the opposite of Golding’s theory.

The volunteers in Milgram’s experiment show no evilness until rules and demand forces them to raise the shock. The fear factor comes into places witch makes them do it but at heart we are not evil. Golding writes in his novel how Jack becomes savage once there are no rules in place and he has power; but, in Milgram’s experiment order and rules symbolizes evil when the man in authority demands to sends the shocks even if the volunteer does not want to do so.

In conclusion, Milgram’s theory disproves Golding’s philosophy because we see in Milgram’s experiment that the volunteers had empathy and cared about the other person but authority and rules made them look evil. While Golding’s philosophy is WITHOUT rules we are evil so it shows that it is the complete opposite.

3 Reasons why Piggy would not get a girlfriend

Image result for jock vs nerd

  1. He lacks to stand up for himself

We see in many instances in the book that Piggy peaks in intelligence but we also see that no matter what good he does in this novel he gets put down and his bright ideas get stolen. Even though he never turns savage and crazy a girl will most likely go for a crazy bad boy like Jack or a influential leader, not a pussy that backs down like Piggy. The girl wants protection and someone usually more dominant then themselves. To me I see Piggy as the girl in a relationship. (Excuse my language)

2. His nerdy appearance

For the most part, females like to look for a guy that is their barrier and their shield. Only way Piggy could be a girls shield in any sense is his chubbiness to shield the girl witch is quite literal. We see as Piggy as the typical high school nerd. Kinda chubby, glasses, does not express his voice, intelligent but awkward. Girls tend not to look for these attributes in a guy. Piggy would we looked as the girls guy best friend who got friend zoned back in middle school and puts all the effort in while the girl sees him as a cute chubby friend, while a guy like Jack would be dating the girl of his dreams.

3. Seen as the female voice

You might be thinking a girl would like this attribute because he would understand the girl more. But when you think about it, a girl would only see him as if he was another one of her girl friends saying the same content and she’d be fed up. A girl wants a man; she wants something different which is a man’s opinion and voice. Someone who takes charge and is not afraid to speak up.

B- Brackets

F- Fractions

S- Sort

D- Divide

example: 2 (x-4) = -7+3x

B:

distirbute the bracket by multiplying everything that is in it by 2

2 x X =2x

2 x -4= -8

2x – 8 = -7+3x

F:

no fractions

S:

2x-8=-7+3x

Add +8 on EACH side to make zero pairs

equation is now

2x=1+3x

now add -3x on each side

-1x=1

flip so the x is positive

D:

1x=-1

divide by the coefficient

1x divided by 1

-1 divided by one

answer:

x= -1

The shot

My father was the most wanted man in New York. I knew he wouldn’t be able to tuck me in bed for long. My father was the lead member of the Quagriali mafia, the biggest mafia in the east coast. His name was Marco De Bei. He’s been working for his mafia since he was 21 years old. He moved his way up to the top when he was 32, and in late November he will be turning 49 years old. I was an only child. My mother was a stereotypical woman. Clean and cooked and that’s about it. We lived in a house worth 8.5 million dollars. All made out of beige stone and decorated in Italian statues.

I came home on Wednesday late afternoon and my mother was making dinner and my father was reading his newspaper on the patio over looking the beautiful city of New York. I skipped my way to the patio to say hi to my father, but when I saw his face, disappointment. All there was, was disappointment in his face. I asked him what was wrong. ” Gianmarco got shot and died today” he said mumbling. Gianmarco was one of his five bodyguards. He got shot today in a shooting with another mafia 3 miles east of New York. My father also said that he was in big trouble with that mafia that shot Gianmarco. He owed them 600 thousands dollars but my father didn’t even think paying them back. He was so powerful that he didn’t need to.

It was a beautiful Thursday night, my butler had just dropped me off at home. I had came home late because I was studying for my socials exam. I came home and everything seems off. My mother is not cooking dinner on time, and she never misses dinner. My dad isn’t on the patio. At first I thought it was because I was home late, but then I realized that the traditional Italian music was not play in my house. I cannot recall the last time I haven’t heard Italian music in my house. I hear footsteps and see my dad around the corner of my darkened house. ” Hide now, HIDE NOW CARLO!” Screamed my father at me.

I ran immediately to my room. I had a gun in my drawer for protection. I grabbed it and hood under my bed. Five minutes later I could hear powerful cars come into our drive way. I then realized that the mafia that my father was in trouble with had came to our house to kill my father. My father only had one bodyguard at home so he basically had no protection. The mafia broke our door and they filled our whole house. I had my gun loaded. The mafia was getting closer, my door was open. I see my dad run past my room and “Bang”!

Did I do it for the fortune? Doesn’t matter, I got away with it
