Rube Goldberg Around the World

Step 1: We will use a rubber band to launch a marble down a small ramp.
Step 2: The marble will travel down a couple ramps into a small cup.
Step 3: The marble will fall into a cup which will trigger a pulley.
Step 4: The pulley with release another marble on a different ramp.
Step 5: The marble will fall down 5 ramps.
Step 6: The marble will fall into a long tube which leads into a funnel.
Step 7: The funnel will cause the marble to fall onto a switch which will turn on a hot glue gun.
Step 8: The hot glue gun will heat up and cause a balloon to pop.
Step 9: The balloon will cause a domino to fall over into another domino.
Step 10: Once all the dominoes have been knocked over one will fall into a cup.
Step 11: The cup will trigger a pulley.
Step 12: The puller will release a marble.
Step 13: The marble will fall into a tube which will hit the play button on a speaker.
Step 14: The speaker will play some music.

Our First energy transfer is at the very beginning with Elastic energy. The rubber band is pulled back and the rubber band stretches. When you let the rubber band go it releases its stored energy and propelling the marble forward. Our second energy transfer is when the Potential energy inside the balloon turns into sound energy. The balloon pops when the heat from the hot glue gun causes the balloon to pop. The balloon releases the air and hits the domino right beside it. The last energy transfer is when the first domino gets knocked over and uses kinetic energy to continuously knock over the next domino. Those are the energy transfers in my Rube Goldberg. The different energy types in this Rube Goldberg are Elastic Energy(Rubber Band), Mechanical Energy(Both Pulley’s), Gravitational Energy(Going down the Ramps), Kinetic Energy(Dominoes), and Thermal Energy(Hot Glue Gun). Those are the 5 types of energy that my Rube Goldberg Project uses.
