Parallax is when  there is apparent displacement  of an object because of a change in the point of view. scientists use this method to measure the distance between stars. As the earth orbits around the sun the closest stars appear to move backgrounds amongst other stars. Scientists measure the star once and then six months later. After they take the data and measure the difference.

DNA Model

In this experiment, I had to make a model of a DNA using liquorice, different coloured marshmallows, and toothpicks.  The liquorice represents the double helix. The backbones of the DNA are made up of sugar and phosphate. The different coloured marshmallows in the photo represents the bases which are adenine (yellow marshmallow), thymine (orange marshmallow), guanine (green marshmallow), and cytosine (pink marshmallow). The rungs or base are always bonded in a certain way, adenine (A) double bonds with thymine (T) and cytosine (C) triple bonds with guanine (G). This activity gave me a better understanding of DNA. Matching the bases helped me remember their names, letters, and also their pairings and also gave me a general idea of what DNA looks like.

DNA Bracelet

I had to make a DNA bracelet.  Each coloured cereal represents a combined base letter to make it into a codon. Green = adenine, purple= guanine, yellow = thymine, and pink = cytosine. The 3 pieces of cereal makes it a letter in the alphabet of the DNA alias code. The entire message of the bracelet represents the DNA sequence. My name is representing the multiple codons which make up amino acids.

Oobleck

Chemical A: A white, powdery, solid (corn starch)
Chemical B: A yellow colored liquid

Oobleck was white and gooey. It was also a physical change since the powder and liquid combined changed it into a solid/liquid goo.

I think that the oobleck was a solid and liquid, it all just mattered on how much liquid was put in it and also where it was. If it was on the table sitting it would turn hard and dry but when u would hold it in your hand you could see that the top of it looked wet so it was a liquid.

Oobleck helped me see how physical change works and also how it could be 2 states at the same time, having both properties of a solid and liquid.

Battery= 3.0

The current stayed the same in ammeter 1 and 2. The voltage in the bulbs are different by 0.1. The voltage of bulb 1 and 2 combined are different to the batteries voltage by 0.7. The current and voltage change depending on how many ammeters or voltmeters there is.

The way that my group found it to create the brightest light with the circuit was by connecting both wires to the light and the wires that were from the battery to the wires connected to the light, therefore creating a full circuit. I learned that the strength of the wires really matters for how light the light bulb goes because if it isnt as powerful then the light bull will barely shine, but if they are then the light should shine bright unless there is a different problem in the circuit.

I find it weird how whatever you do on the Internet is being traced and whatever you do is going to remain there and someone is always gonna have it even if you delete it. I will from now on be sure to realize what I am searching because I do not want something bad come back to my name that anyone could see.
