20 Time Project Final Post

This is the final post for my 20% project. I made a stop motion video of a fight between me and a friend of mine. Some of the new things I learned during this project is how to use Final Cut Pro in a new way. I also learned how to manage time better because I had to organize getting two other people to help me with it.

20 Time Project Update 2

I know all the actors that will be in my stop motion video now, as well as have all the necessary equipment to make it. I have figured out the location for the video to be made, now all I need to do is find a day with the appropriate weather that meets everyone’s schedules. I plan on having the video last around 2-3 minutes. There will be no talking in it, but I will put in background music and might even add sound effects if they  are appropriate for the video. I’m not sure how many frames I will have in a second, but from what I’ve seen, 12 is a good amount, for it doesn’t require as many photos and also doesn’t look incredibly choppy.

20 Project Update 1

For my 20 percent project I am making a stop motion video. I so far know what I am going to make and have all the necessary items to make it. I am now just waiting for a good day to start making it.

I want to make a stop motion fight that lasts around 2 minutes. I was going to have the fight be between myself and one of my friends, with someone else taking the photos. In class, I have been looking at different stop motion styles, to help think of different things I am able to do in my own project. I plan to have started taking the photos in the next week or two.  The process of taking the photos will have to be done in 1 day, so weather changes don’t affect the way the stop motion looks.
