I wonder…

The universe is all of space and time containing all of it’s contents such as planets, stars and galaxies, but have you ever wondered how it was all created? Has it ever crossed your mind that we have all gotten here through something or someone? What is our purpose? When did this all happen?

Some people believe that we were created after the big bang yet others believe that God himself was the one who created us. This leaves us wondering how the universe started and how humanity became. So my question is, how can we differentiate evolution and creation?

The Big Bang:

The Big Bang Theory (no not the television show) is a prevailing cosmological model for the universe from the earliest known periods through its subsequent large scale evolution.

The model describes how the universe was expanded from a very high density and high temperature state and offers and educational and comprehensive explanation of a broad range of phenomena including the abundance of light elements, the cosmic microwave background, large scale structure and Hubble’s Law.

The big bang occurred over 14 billion years ago but was only discovered recently. It seemed to have come out of nothing but in actuality it came out of something called singularity. Singularity is a plug hole within a black hole that it so pressurized that it squishes a finite volume into an infinite density.

Four forces of energy that created after the Big Bang:

  • Electromagnetism
  • Strong nuclear force
  • Weak nuclear force
  • Gravity

These four forces of energy would eventually create atoms- building blocks of matter 3 minutes after the Big Bang.

GOD and his creations

** DISCLAIMER: There is no right or wrong answer, this comparison is simply to help me understand two different stories of how the universe was created, there is no persuasion onto which answer is correct or incorrect because neither of them are!**

On the other hand, there are many beliefs that God was the one who created this world. Many religions follow the genesis which is the day by day process in which god created humanity, animals, land and many more things that we contain in our world today. The Jewish, Christian and Muslim religions strongly believe that there was one god that impacted the universe and all of humanity.

Genesis & 7 days of creation

The book of genesis which is the first book of the bible starts with the creation of the world. The Hebrew meaning of genesis is ” the book of beginnings” this is due to the any beginnings that are recorded in the genesis.

1:1- In the beginning god created universe

In this section of the bible we will see in depth the process in which god creates water, sunlight, night time send many more.

7 days of creation:

Creation Day 1 (Genesis 1:1-5)
God created the heavens and the earth. “The heavens” refers to everything beyond the earth, outer space. The earth is made but not formed in any specific way, although water is present. God then speaks light into existence. He then separates the light from the dark and names the light “day” and the dark “night.”
Creation Day 2 (Genesis 1:6-8)
God creates the sky. The sky forms a barrier between water upon the surface and the moisture in the air.

Creation Day 3 (Genesis 1:9-13)
God creates dry land. Continents and islands are above the water. The large bodies of water are named “seas” and the ground is named “land.” God declares that all this is good.

God creates all plant life both large and small. He creates this life to be self-sustaining; plants have the ability to reproduce. The plants were created in great diversity (many “kinds”). The earth was green and teeming with plant life. God declares that this work is also good. This creative work takes one day.

Creation Day 4 (Genesis 1:14-19)
God creates all the stars and heavenly bodies. The movement of these will help man track time. Two great heavenly bodies are made in relation to the earth. The first is the sun which is the primary source of light and the moon which reflects the light of the sun. The movement of these bodies will distinguish day from night. This work is also declared to be good by God. This creative work takes one day.

Creation Day 5 (Genesis 1:20-23)
God creates all life that lives in the water. Any life of any kind that lives in the water is made at this point. God also makes all the birds.

Creation Day 6 (Genesis 1:24-31)
God creates all the creatures that live on dry land. This includes every type of creature not included on previous days and man. .

God’s creative work is complete at the end of the sixth day. The entire universe in all its beauty and perfection was fully formed in six literal, consecutive, 24-hour days. At the completion of His creation, God announces that it is very good.

Creation Day 7 (Genesis 2:1-3)
God rests. This in no way indicates He was weary from His creative efforts, but denotes that the creation is complete.
