1.Describe the properties of chemical A and chemical B?
Chemical A= It feels like a fine powder and looks like corn starch, the smell of chemical A has a slight smell of dirt but nothing else, and the color of the chemical is white cornstarch.
Chemical B= The chemical was a liquid (water), it came from the sink, felt wet, and didn’t smell like anything.
2.Describe the properties + behavior of the Oobleck?
Oobleck is made out of corn starch and water, it doesn’t really smell like anything, and feels either like a solid or liquid based on how you touch the Oobleck and the color or the Oobleck is white.
3.Do you think Oobleck is a gas, liquid, or solid? Why?
I think the Oobleck is a liquid and a solid because it matters on how you make contact with it either you are violent with the Oobleck it becomes a solid if you are gently then it becomes a liquid and after a while of playing with the Oobleck it becomes more of a solid maybe because .
4.Reflect on this lab how did it help you understand KMT?
It helped me understand solid and liquid and how energy helps the partials move because for the Oobleck experiment if you touch or play with the Oobleck gently it is more of a liquid because it has more time and space to react like a liquid but if you are violent with the Oobleck it has little space to act like a liquid so it act like a solid because the particles have less energy so it moves slower like a solid.
