Week 17 of Math 10 – Methods of Solving Systems
June 13, 2022
There is 4 different ways of solving a system, Elimination, Substitution, Graphing and, inspection. Elimination and Substitution are the most useful while inspection is the least useful. Substitution is best used when there is an isolated variable in a system. Graphing works with systems that use y=mx+b form. Inspection requires you to do lots of thinking so it is not a good option for the majority of questions unless the questions are extremely simple.
This image shows Elimination and Substitution being used on two questions.
